St John the Baptist, Wonersh
St John the Baptist is a warm and welcoming parish church located on the green in the heart of Wonersh. With a heritage stretching back to Saxon times, the building has been a place of worship for centuries. It was rebuilt shortly after the Norman Conquest, with major additions in the 15th century, a significant rebuilding in 1793, and a restoration in 1901. The Norman church remains at its core, a reminder that we are part of a long line of faithful worshippers.
Today, we are a church for all ages and stages—welcoming local families, long-time residents, and newcomers alike. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning after a time away, or simply looking for a spiritual home, you are very welcome.
