Good Friday Service 

Having taken part in the Last Supper and seen Judas depart to meet the authorities, Jesus retires to the garden of Gethsemane where he prays, attended by some of the disciples. He is arrested and 'tried' overnight and in haste, sentenced to death by crucifixion, while the criminal, Barrabas is set free. Good Friday therefore holds some dark moments of isolation, manipulation, selfish gain and political persuasion. The afternoon culminates with the death of Jesus alongside two others, on a cross at Golgotha. The skies become dark and the cry from Jesus is "It is finished" - His task was fulfilled.
